We believe in being upfront about cost. Here's exactly what a session costs and how funding works.

One rate, no exceptions: we charge the same rate whether you're paying privately or using NDIS funding.

We don't charge NDIS participants more than private clients.

Speech pathology session 60 minutes - $190

Speech pathology session 45 minutes - $142.50

This applies to private-pay, NDIS self-managed, and NDIS plan-managed clients alike.

NDIS

We support self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants.  We are not currently able to bill NDIA-managed plans directly.

Our rate sits within the current NDIS price limit for speech pathology of $193.99/hour (2026–27).

 

Medicare

There are two Medicare pathways that can help with the cost — most families haven't heard of the newer one.

 

Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan

A GP referral under a CDM care plan gives a $61.80 per session rebate. This is a shared cap of 5 rebated sessions per calendar year across all allied health services combined (not 5 per discipline).

 

M10 pathway (expanded March 2026)

Covers stuttering, speech sound disorders (including childhood apraxia of speech and dysarthria), and cleft lip/palate, for anyone under 25. Offers an $87.25 per session rebate, with up to 8 assessment sessions and 20 treatment sessions available over a lifetime — separate from the CDM cap. Needs a referral from a GP, consultant physician, or specialist; no chronic-condition plan required.

Ask your GP which pathway fits — for eligible conditions, M10 often provides a larger rebate and a bigger session allowance.

Private health insurance

Rebates vary by fund and cover level, so we recommend quoting item code 340 (or 320 for an initial consult) to your fund to confirm your exact rebate before your first session. We provide a standard healthcare receipt so you can claim directly.

 

Reports and travel for home/school/aged care visits are quoted separately, since these vary by situation.
